Privacy Policy and Terms of Use

1. Organization and contact

Lotus Paysage inc. (“Lotus”, “we”) operates lotuspaysagiste.ca and provides landscaping, outdoor maintenance and snow-removal services in Laval. NEQ: 1180512486. 2. Information we collect

Depending on your interaction, we may collect your name, email, phone number, service address, postal code, property or parking details, requested services, notes, contact requests, estimates, contracts, invoices, recorded payments, communications and service history. When a document is electronically accepted or signed, we also retain the date and time, the name supplied, limited technical information and a cryptographic fingerprint used to preserve document integrity.

3. Purposes

We use this information to answer requests, prepare and send estimates, enter into and perform contracts, plan services and routes, communicate with customers, issue and track invoices, maintain operational records, prevent abuse and improve website efficiency. We do not sell personal information.

4. Technology providers

Our website and operations use providers including Netlify for hosting and form backup, Supabase for database services and staff authentication, Resend for transactional email, and a limited GeoIP lookup service for approximate city/region detection. These providers may process data in Canada or outside Quebec/Canada depending on their infrastructure. We limit the information shared to what is necessary for the service.

5. Website measurement

Lotus uses first-party measurement without advertising cookies or cross-site tracking. A random anonymous visitor identifier may be stored in this browser for up to 90 days, and a temporary session identifier is kept for the current browser session. We use these identifiers to estimate unique and returning visitors, traffic sources and conversion rates. The server may use the visitor’s network address momentarily to derive an approximate country, province/region and city through GeoIP lookup; the raw IP address is not retained in our analytics database and is replaced with a cryptographic hash. Location is approximate and does not use device GPS.

6. Retention and security

Business records are retained for as long as reasonably necessary to answer requests, provide services, meet accounting or contractual obligations, resolve disputes and protect our systems. Website analytics are intentionally minimized: raw traffic events are normally retained for 7 days, anonymous session records for up to 35 days, and anonymous visitor records for up to 90 days. Small aggregated daily statistics may be retained longer because they no longer contain a raw browsing history. Access controls, database security policies, temporary tokens and logging are used to reduce unauthorized access. No system can guarantee absolute security.

7. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to or correction of your personal information and ask questions about its processing. You may withdraw consent where the law permits, although this may limit our ability to provide some services.

8. Estimates, contracts and electronic signatures

A website request is not a service acceptance and does not generate an automatic price. An estimate becomes binding only according to the terms shown in the document and its acceptance. A contract may be presented through a secure link. When you expressly confirm agreement and enter your name as an electronic signature, we record the action and document version to preserve evidence and integrity.

9. Prices, taxes and payments

Prices in an estimate or contract apply only to that document and its validity period. Applicable taxes are shown separately when required. Payment terms, due dates, deposits and special conditions are stated in the documents sent to the customer.

10. Website availability

We aim to keep the website and customer portal available and accurate, but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. If general website information conflicts with a signed contract, the signed contract governs the applicable service.

11. Content and intellectual property

Website text, trademarks, logos, graphics and software are protected by applicable rights and may not be reproduced commercially without permission.

12. Updates

This policy may be updated as our practices, providers or obligations change. The update date at the top identifies the current version.
